Procurement of 290 nos. Broad Gauge Bogie Covered Wagons & 116 nos. Broad Gauge Bogie Open Wagons and 14 nos. Broad Gauge Bogie Brake Vans for Bangladesh Railway

The People’s Republic of Bangladesh has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Railway Rolling Stock Operations Improvement Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. This contract will be jointly financed by Govt. of Bangladesh and ADB. Local currency portion will be financed by GOB and foreign currency portion will be financed by ADB. The eligibility rules and procedures of the ADB will govern the bidding process.

The Bangladesh Railway represented by Project Director (the “Purchaser”) invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Procurement of 290 nos. Broad Gauge Bogie Covered Wagons & 116 nos. Broad Gauge Bogie Open Wagons and 14 nos. Broad Gauge Bogie Brake Vans for Bangladesh Railway including commissioning & trial run, study tour and training of Bangladesh Railway Engineers (the “Goods”).

International Competitive Bidding (ICB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelope procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
