Landscaping Improvement Works along Bagmati Riverbanks: Uttargaya, Gokarna, Guheshwori & Thapathali to Balkhu

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Government of Nepal has applied for financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Bagmati River Basin Improvement Project – Additional Financing. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

The High-Powered Committee for Integrated Development of the Bagmati Civilization, Bagmati River Basin Improvement Project, Guheshwori (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the construction and completion of Landscaping Improvement Works along Bagmati Riverbanks: Uttargaya, Gokarna, Guheshwori & Thapathali to Balkhu (“the Works”). The Works contains i) earthworks; ii) modifications of existing and construction of new river bank stabilisation and retaining structures in gabions, masonry and concrete; iii) concrete weirs with masonry cladding; iv) hard and soft landscaping including paving, public amenities, land levelling, tree and shrub plantations, v) Building Works. Construction period is 821 days from the contract signing date.

Open Competitive Bidding – International will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
