Supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of MRI Scanner and Accessories

The invitation follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for the project that appeared in the UN Development business online Ref: AfDB716-10/14 of 24 October 2014 and the African Development Bank website on 22 October 2014.

The Government of the Republic of Uganda has received a loan from the African Development Fund (ADF) towards the cost of the East Africa’s Centre of Excellence for Skills and Tertiary Education in Biomedical Sciences Phase 1 Project. It is intended that part of the proceeds of these loans will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanner and Accessories.

The Uganda Cancer Institute, hereinafter referred to as the executing agency for the project, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of MRI Scanner and Accessories.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bid document at the address below during office hours (0900 to 1700).

A complete set of bid documents may be purchased by interested bidders upon submission of a written application to the address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 200,000/- (Uganda Shillings Two Hundred Thousand Only).

The provisions of instruction to bidders and the general conditions of contracts are the provision of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Documents for Procurement of Goods.

Bids must be delivered at the address indicated below before 11:00 am local time (East African Standard Time) on 16th July 2019 accompanied by a bid security of USD 137,000 in form of an unconditional Bank Guarantee.

Bids shall remain valid for One hundred and Twenty days (120 days) after deadline of bid submissions.

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders representatives who may choose to attend at 11:30am on 16th July 2019 in the Uganda Cancer Institute Boardroom.
