Supply and Delivery of Pickup Vehicles for O&M of BDS

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Government of Nepal has received a financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Improvement Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the Contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

The Kathmandu Upatyaka Khanepani Limited (“the Purchaser”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the contract “Supply and Delivery of Pickup Vehicles for O&M of BDS.”

National Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single Stage: One Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.

Only eligible Bidders with the following key qualifications should participate in this bidding:

• Contractual Experience: Successful completion as main supplier within the last three (3) years, of at least two (2) contracts each valued at not less than NRP12.385 million or equivalent, with nature and complexity similar to the scope of supply described in Section 6 (Schedule of Supply) of the Bidding Documents.
• Technical Experience: Bidder shall demonstrate that the goods offered have been in production now and has sold a minimum of ten (10) units each of similar type and specification; and the Manufacturer is in operation for a minimum of three (3) years.
• Production Capacity: The Bidder or manufacturer shall demonstrate that it can supply the type, size and quantity of the goods as required by Purchaser in accordance with the Delivery and Completion Schedule in Section 6 (Schedule of Supply) of the Bidding Documents.
