Provision for Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearance services to United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON)

The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) is the administrative body of the United Nations Human Settlement Programme (UN-Habitat), and the United Nations Environment Programme, and in addition, provides services to UN agencies, funds and programmes located in Kenya.

UNON invites qualified interested and experienced firms to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming tender exercise for Freight Forwarding and Customs Clearance and to perform the following tasks:

1. 1. Facilitate import and export clearance with the Kenyan Customs and Regulatory Authorities under the immunities and privileges of the United Nations;
2. Facilitate loading and delivery of United Nations shipments from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, the Inland Container Port in Nairobi, the Port of Mombasa, or any other port of entry in Kenya, to the United Nations complex in Gigiri, Nairobi, Kenya and vice-versa;
3. Facilitate loading, shipment, and delivery of United Nations shipments from any location worldwide to the United Nations complex in Gigiri, Nairobi, Kenya, and vice-versa;
4. Provide a warehouse for inspection, repackaging, and loading for delivery in proximity to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, the Inland Container Port in Nairobi, and the Port of Mombasa;
5. Provide on-site services;
6. Maintain appropriate accounts, records, and control procedures.
