The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) was created by the United Nations General Assembly on 11 December 1946, to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries that had been devastated by World War II. In 1950, UNICEF’s mandate was extended to address the long-term needs of children and women in developing countries everywhere. In 1953 it became a permanent part of the United Nations System, and the words “international” and “emergency” were dropped from the organization’s name, making it simply the United Nations Children’s Fund, retaining the original acronym, “UNICEF”.

UNICEF has now issued a Request for Proposals in order to select supplier/-s for the provision of supply of pharmaceuticals for the establishment of Long term agreements and direct orders for replenishment of UNICEF warehouse in Copenhagen, Denmark Please note that: – Technical requirements and criteria are under Special Notes of the tender document RFP-503070; – Two webinar sessions are planned to take place on 29th August 2019 at 09:00 hrs and 19th September 2019 at 10:00 hrs Copenhagen time; – Annex I: Product s list and commercial offer is to be submitted in both excel format and duly signed pdf document; This tender will be run through the UNICEF e-submissions system.
