Design and Construction of Buildings and Infrastructure

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Government of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of Science and Technology Human Resource Development Project (STHRD Project), and the Ministry of City Planning, Water Supply & Higher Education intends to apply part of the financing for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

The Chairman, Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC) on behalf of the Project Director, Science and Technology Human Resource Department (STHRD) Project (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the Procurement of Design and Construction of Buildings and Infrastructure Facilities for Faculty of Technology- Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka (“the Works”).

This procurement comprises of the design and construction of various learning spaces including lecture rooms, state-of-the art laboratories and collaborative study areas as well as administrative facilities totaling to approximately 16,200 m2.

Open Competitive Bidding – International will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelope procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries as described in the Bidding Document.
