Item Description:
The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) invites interested companies to express their interest and provide the requested supporting documents to demonstrate their eligibility to participate in the upcoming bidding exercise for the provision of Solar Hybrid Battery Backup System Installation at UNAMA Premises in Afghanistan (EOI/25/2019).
UNAMA required the services of specialized companies to install, test and commissioning of a 50 KW solar plant in UNOCA compound, Battery Backup system including battery inverter, multi cluster box, battery rack and all other accessories required for existing Solar Hybrid plant which already installed and are in operation at UNAMA Premises Kabul and regions. UNAMA will provide the storage batteries, PV panels and inverters and interconnection cables, whereas contractor is responsible to provide and install auxiliary items if required as mentioned in the Bill of quantity. While the nature of activities in this project are primarily of electrical works; limited civil and mechanical related activities may also be involved. The project is to be implemented by qualified tecnnications in accordance with the relevant Bill of Quantity, Specification and instruction of UNAMA’s engineer/site-supervisor in charge. All activities and practices in the implementation of this project shall comply in every respect with valid electrical standards and regulations unless otherwise specified in the specifications.
This notice is issued only to allow companies/organizations to express their interest. It does not constitute a solicitation, UNAMA reserves the rights to change or cancel the requirement at anytime during EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee that your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. The tender and any subsequent commitment to contract will be issued in accordance with UN financial rules and regulations.
Note that the companies that have previously submitted EOI for similar requirements with UNAMA must re-submit full documentation as detailed above.
Please note that this is not an invitation for submission of bid or proposals. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested and meets the EOI criteria in order to be invited to participate in the solicitation when issued.
UNAMA will examine the outcome of this request for EOI and will consider those companies that have expressed their interest and provided the required information as to their ability to fulfill the UNAMA’s requirements.
More details for the requirement will be provided in the solicitation documents to the invited vendors.
