Supply, Installation, and Commissioning of a Weather Radar for Detection of Hails and Meteorological Events

The Republic of Tajikistan has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of National Disaster Risk Management Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this financing to payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

The Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan (CESCD) (“the Purchaser”) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply, installation, and commissioning of a weather radar for detection of hails and meteorological events, as well as provision of relevant radar operations and maintenance trainings for the Purchaser’s personnel. The Purchaser has currently been using similar systems located around various locations within Republic of Tajikistan; these systems support detecting hails in the clouds and disintegrating them. The new system, that will be procured, will comprise a weather radar of higher radius and other technical features. The supplier will also provide training for operation and maintenance and back up services as described in the Bidding Document. It shall enhance capacity and skills of the client in dealing with hailstorms, monitoring and recording of meteorological events, and collecting and recording data.

Open Competitive Bidding – International will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
