Item Description:
The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) was created by the United Nations General Assembly on 11 December 1946, to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries that had been devastated by World War II. In 1950, UNICEF’s mandate was extended to address the long-term needs of children and women in developing countries everywhere. In 1953 it became a permanent part of the United Nations System, and the words “international” and “emergency” were dropped from the organization’s name, making it simply the United Nations Children’s Fund, retaining the original acronym, “UNICEF”.
Invitation to Bid
UNICEF has a requirement for the Purchase of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
Offers must be received by latest 12:00 hours Noon (Amman time) on 06 April 2020 and will be opened at 12:30 PM hours (Amman time) on 06 April 2020. Offers received after the stipulated date and time will be invalidated.
Offers must be emailed to jordanbids@unicef.org ONLY. Offers emailed to other addresses will be invalidated, even if received before the stipulated deadline.
It is important that you read all the provisions of the Invitation to Bid to ensure that you understand and comply with the UNICEF’s requirements. Note that failure to submit compliant offers may result in invalidation of your offer.
