Item Description:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
The Republic of Uzbekistan has applied financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Central Asia Regional Economic Corridor (CAREC) Corridor 2 Karakalpakstan Road Project (A380 Kungrad to Daut-Ata Section). Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contracts named below. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.
The Committee for Roads (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the construction and the completion of the road works as listed below (“the works”). General descriptions of the works and key qualification criteria for Bidders are given below (the way how these criteria will be applied for Bidders acting in joint-venture is further specified in the Bidding Documents). For each lot, the construction period of the contract will be 730 days.
Since the project consists of two (2) civil works packages (the present package KRP/OCB/CW/01 and another package referenced KRP/OCB/CW/02), consisting each of three (3) lots, if a Bidder submits several successful (i.e. lowest evaluated substantially responsive) bids, either for lots within this package or for lots within both packages, the evaluation will also include an assessment of the Bidder’s capacity to meet the following aggregated requirements as presented in the bids for the lots under both packages:
- Average annual construction turnover
- Equipment to be allocated
- Personnel to be fielded
Open Competitive Bidding (international advertisement) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
