This Invitation for Bids (IFB) follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project that appeared in United Nations Development Business online UNDB online on 28th February 2019 [Ref AfDB266-02/19].
The Government of Republic of Kenya has received financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Nairobi Rivers Rehabilitation and Restoration Program: Sewerage Improvement Project – Phase 2. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of 11 No. Trucks for Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company.
The Athi Water Works Development Agency, executing agency of the project, now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply and Delivery of 11 No. Trucks for Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company, (hereinafter called “the Goods”).
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of The Chief Executive Officer, Athi Water Works Development Agency, Africa Re-Centre, Hospital Rd, and P.O. Box 45283-00100 Nairobi, Kenya.
A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KES. 1,000.00 (Kenya Shillings One Thousand Only). The documents may be collected by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below. Documents can also be downloaded from the AWWDA website: http://www.awwda.go.ke and http://www.tenders.go.ke, Bidders who download the bidding document from the website MUST forward their particulars immediately to procurement@awwda.go.ke, for records and any further clarifications and addenda.
Procurement will be in accordance with the Bank’s “Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations” dated October 2015, using the Bank’s Procurement Methods and Procedures for Open Competitive Bidding (international advertising). The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions are those of the Bank’s Standard Bidding Document for Procurement of Goods.
Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 12.00pm East African Time on – 7th July, 2020 and must be accompanied by a bid security in form of an Unconditional Bank Guarantee in the amount of KES 2,200,000.00 (Kenya Shillings Two Million, Two Hundred Thousand Only).
Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 12.05pm East African Time on 7th July, 2020 at the offices of:
