Item Description:
The United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the United Nations System in Chile are searching for companies with local representation, with technical and financial capacity to participate in the bidding process for technical support on Fire systems installed in United Nations office buildings, specifically in three United Nations agencies based in Santiago, Chile.
The company must have at least 5 years of experience in the field and present or subcontract the services of Simplex 4100 ES, Fenwall and NOVEC 1230 fire systems.
The field supervisor or the technician responsible for carrying out diagnostic routines or corrective maintenance of fire systems, whether in their physical, electronic and software components, must have the corresponding certification from the manufacturer. The technicians that will conduct preventive maintenance routines must have at least 3 years of experience.

SIMPLEX 4100 Fire Panel with 1645 elements, including photoelectric smoke sensors, audible alarms, manual fire levers and electroscopic lights.
General Description of Services
- Technical Support: Technical support will be required for ECLAC, FAO and PNUD buildings for the preventive and corrective maintenance of indicated components for all buildings. In the event of failures, reaction times of 24, 48 and 72 hours, 7 days a week and their respective costs must be considered, depending on the criticality of the components that fail and whose details will be specified in the technical specifications that will be attached in the process of bidding process.
- Tests and Protocols: Execute tests of all systems, subsystems and equipment described for all buildings. The above based on the periodicity that will be described in the corresponding technical specifications.
- Training: Design and implement a training plan on the operation of systems for ECLAC, FAO and UNDP security personnel, as well as minor troubleshooting solutions for the maintenance personnel of the facilities described. Frequency and scope of the Training will be described in the corresponding technical specifications.
Specific Requirements / Information
a. Companies are required to have at least 5 years experience in the field.
b. Providers are encouraged to complete the Vendor Registration Level 1 (Contracts estimated between USD 40,000 and USD 500,000) in the UNGM site at http://www.ungm.org
