Provision of Plumbing Materials

The United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo (MONUSCO) intends to enter into a long term Contract and seeks Expression of Interest (EOI) from duly registered companies for the Provision of Plumbing Materials to be delivered in Bunia and Beni Locations of DRC.

The purpose of this Expression of Interest (EOI) is to asses potential suppliers who can provide MONUSCO with the ability, skill and knowledge in respect to the provision of Plumbing Materials as specfied above.

MONUSCO will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly and intends to issue an Invitation to Bid (ITB) to those companies who would express their interest and to provide initial relevant information demonstrating their abilitity to fulfill MONUSCO requirements. In addition, the interested companies will be requested to complete UN Vendor registration for level 1 on the vendor database accessible on ungm.org (new vendor only). A detail Scope of Requirement (SOR) will be provided to companies short listed for receipt of the (ITB) documents.

The EOI should specify brief relevant information about the company including the company’s profile, capacity/capability and experience.

• provide with a customer reference list
• provide us with a list of similar projects or orders already completed

Vendors will be shortlisted based on their ability to provide the relevant documents showing that they are authorized to undertake business in DR Congo. Interested vendors must also provide copy of the registration certeficate/license(s) of the company with their response.

The requested information will only be used by MONUSCO for internal planning purposes, be kept strictly confidential and only authorized personnel will have access to it.

Please note that this request for EOI is not an invitation for submission of bid.

MONUSCO reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of peformance in the subject field of activities and submission of an EOI would not automatically warrant receipt of the (ITB) documents. MONUSCO reserves the right to reject EOI’s received after the deadline indicated below.

The Expression of interest may be submitted by email to monusco-procurement@un.org and copy selamawit.kebede@un.org or else by facsimile (see below), courier, clearly marked with the inscription “EOI” – Expression of Interest for the Provision of Plumbing Materials to be delivered in Bunia and Beni locations of DR Congo and addressed as follows to be received not later than 06 November 2020, 15:00 hours Kinshasa time (GMT+1).

As the objective of this EOI is to gather information on the availability of the potential suppliers, services and ability to deliver the requested items in the specfic location in a timely manner, your willingness and ability to reply will be of mutual benefit

Subsequent to this EOI and the submissions received, MONUSCO may request for clarfication through email / Fax or site visit for further information to have a better understanding of the documents submitted by your organization.
