Replacement of UNESDOC Digital Asset and Library Management Systems

Item Description:

United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invite qualified companies to submit sealed tenders as follows:

The purpose is to acquire and implement, by end 2017 at the latest, the technology and services that are required to continue to manage UNESCO’s publications and documents in print and electronic format and UNESCO’s library.

The project includes the acquisition of the following elements to replace the existing system:

• A Digital Asset Management system (DAM) which will be used to manage primary documents (mainly in PDF and ePub format) in a Digital Repository;

• An Integrated Library Management System (ILS) which will be used to manage UNESCO’s digital document catalogue and library as well as the Multimedia Archives (audio and video management system) metadata;

• A Web Portal giving access to a unified search service for the UNESCO resource catalogue and online document consultation, plus access to the online services offered by the UNESCO library.
