The European Patent Organisation (EPO) is an intergovernmental organisation that was set up on 7 October 1977 on the basis of the European Patent Convention (EPC) signed in Munich in 1973. It has two bodies, the European Patent Office and the Administrative Council.

Objective of this tender

The EPO issues this tender for Insurance Brokerage Services.

For its various owned and rented office buildings, the EPO held corporate insurance contracts, covering not only, the buildings themselves but also their contents, including artworks, electrical installations, transport liability and excess costs. The insurance broker will conduct, in consultation with the EPO and in line with its internal financial rules, new insurance contracts which should commence on 1st January 2022.

Furthermore, the appointed insurance broker will then handle general insurance matters and advice to EPO on insurance related topics, such as market developments and analysis thereof, in order to monitor EPO insurance contracts and guarantee adjustments.
