Provision of Medical Services

Item Description:

The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (“EASA”, “the Agency” or “the contracting authority”) is planning to award the contract[s] resulting from the above procurement procedure. The procurement documentation consists of the contract notice (Supplement to the Official Journal of the EU, OJS) and present procurement documents (Part I. Invitation to submit a Request to Participate, Part II. Descriptive Document and its annexes & Part III. Draft Contract(s)). All documents are available in the enclosed ZIP File.

The objective of the contract is the Provision of medical and other services to EASA staff members covering the following areas:

• occupational medicine,
• travel medicine, advising and administering vaccines,
• preventive medicine (annual check-up and health campaigns),
• prevention of psychosocial risks,
• health review (management and processing of documents related to sickness absences, providing medical opinions)
• management of staff member’s medical files,— ad-hoc tasks/reporting.

Division into Lots

This tender is divided into the following lots:

• Lot 1: Medical Service on Occupational Medicine

The purpose of Lot 1 is to monitor all aspects of the wellbeing at work of EASA staff members. Services relating to occupational medicine, travel medicine, preventive medicine (e.g. annual medical check-up for EASA staff members) and prevention of psycho-social risks are required. Requirements and needs are specified in the Descriptive Document: See internet address provided in section I.3.

• Lot 2: Medical Service on Leave and Absences (health review)

Lot 2 is dedicated to medical services on sick-leave follow-up, medical controls. Requirements and needs are specified in part II of the Descriptive Document: See internet address provided in section I.3).

Economic operators may submit a Request to Participate/tender for one or both lots. In the case the same tenderer succeeds in both lots, one single contract might be established provided that the services of both lots are delivered addressing and avoiding any potential conflict of interest. Should a tenderer succeed in both lots, the latter will be required to present a proposal ensuring that:

• Not the same medical personnel are allocated to both services;
• there is no flow of information between both services.
