Provision for Insurance Packages

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is an intergovernmental organization established in 1951 and is committed to the principle that humane and orderly migration benefits both migrants and society. IOM is part of the United Nations system, as a related organization.

Following a review of its global insurance packages covering its employees on a worldwide basis, the IOM Bids Evaluation and Award Committee (“BEAC”) is inviting Expression of Interest from international insurance providers to underwrite these insurance packages. More information about the services are provided in Annex 1: Introduction and Background Materials for an Expression of Interest (EOI).

The EOI shall contain information on the following a.) confirmation of ability to provide all demanded covers (hereinafter “Lots”), b.) qualification, financial stability (e.g. solvency), risk profile and exposure, c.) track record and experience to provide worldwide insurance covers to employees of a similar organizations than IOM and d.) any other relevant information.

The EOI shall be submitted in original and duplicate copy and should be received by e-mail only to PSD Tender psd-tender@iom.int no later than 3 September 2021, 15:00 hour, Geneva time.

Based on the above provided information, the BEAC shall draw up a shortlist of global insurance providers which will be invited to a Request for Proposal (RFP). Only short-listed firms will be invited to submit technical and financial proposals in the RFP.

The BEAC reserves the right to accept or reject any EOI, and to annul the selection process and reject all Expression at any time, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected international insurance providers.
