Grid Substations Augmentation Project (MNEGSAP)

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received financing from the ADB toward the cost of Mannar Nadukuda Embilipitiya Grid Substations Augmentation Project (MNEGSAP). Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.

The Ceylon Electricity Board (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders:

a. Mannar 220/33kV Grid Substation with the extension of 220kV double bus bar, installation of two (2) 63MVA, 220/33kV Transformers, construction of two (2) Transformer bays, installation of two 33kV GIS transformer bays, twelve 33kV GIS generator bays with 33kV bus bar extension and modification of Control, Protection, Metering, SAS and etc.

b. Nadukuda 220/33kV Grid substation with the installation of one 63MVA, 220/33kV Transformer and modification of Control, Protection, Metering, SAS and etc.

c. Embilipitiya 132/33kV Grid Substation with construction of new Control building and Installation of 33kV GIS including two transformer bays, ten Feeders and bus section and etc.

International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with Single-Stage: Two-Envelope (1S2E) bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible countries as described in the bidding document and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.
