Item Description:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
Invitation for Bids
The Government of Nepal has received financing from the ADB towards the cost of SASEC Mugling-Pokhara Highway Improvement Phase I Project (SMPHIP). Part of this financing will be used for payments under the Contract(s) named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of the ADB.
The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Department of Roads, Project Directorate (ADB), Kathmandu, Nepal (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for Design and Build of Madi River Bridge, Tanahu and Seti River Bridge, Kaski and contracts as below (the “Works”). Works include Detailed Engineering Design and Construction of Bridges including Construction of blacktopped approach road, Road furniture and traffic safety works, Protection works etc.
Bidders may bid for one or several contracts, as further defined in the bidding document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one contract will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Price Bid.
Bidders are requested to specify the total price of the Bid in the Letter of Price Bid or the Total Bid Price in the Summary of Bill of Quantities. Failure to specify the total price of the Bid in the Letter of Price Bid or in the Summary of Bill of Quantities may be ground for declaring the Bid nonresponsive.
Open competitive bidding (International Advertisement) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
