The General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union referred to below as the contracting authority is planning to award the contract(s) resulting from the above procurement procedure. The procurement documents consist of the contract notice, the invitation letter, the draft contract(s) and tender specifications with their annexes. Purpose

The framework contract resulting from this procurement procedure will cover the acquisition of radio communication system components and the provision of associated services.Radio communication within the General Secretariat of the Council’s (GSC) buildings is based on the TETRA standard. This infrastructure has been deployed in 2010 and needs to be modernised – maintaining the TETRA standard to be operated and managed by the GSC staff.The call for tenders also covers the maintenance and support of some of the existing TETRA components (maintenance ‘takeover’), their evolution and possible future needs in terms of hardware and software components as well as professional services and training.
