Item Description:

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) was created by the United Nations General Assembly on 11 December 1946, to provide emergency food and healthcare to children in countries that had been devastated by World War II. In 1950, UNICEF’s mandate was extended to address the long-term needs of children and women in developing countries everywhere. In 1953 it became a permanent part of the United Nations System, and the words “international” and “emergency” were dropped from the organization’s name, making it simply the United Nations Children’s Fund, retaining the original acronym, “UNICEF”.

For its efforts to enhance solidarity between nations and reduce the difference between rich and poor states, UNICEF was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1965.

Invitation to Bid (ITB)

UNICEF Poland invites your company to submit an offer for the attached Invitation to Bid. The Proposals must be received at the below e-mail address by latest 24 May 2022, Tuesday, at or before 10:00a.m. (CET). Proposals received after the stipulated date and time will be invalidated. Due to the nature of this ITB, there will be no public opening of proposals.

*Full proposals must be submitted in ENGLISH and must be received not later than the closure date and time as duly signed, stamped and dated.

**Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, exceptionally for the subject tender, electronic submission of the proposals by email will be accepted. 

Accordingly, bidders are requested to send electronic version of their proposals by email as duly signed & stamped pdf documents to (ecaroprocurement_tco@unicef.org) with the tender reference in their email subjects. Proposals should not be uploaded to any type of cloud/sharing platforms. The submission documents should be sent as email attachments.

– one email / emails for proposals (each should have a number such as 1/4, 2/4, etc.)

(Note: Page 3 of the tender document should be filled in and signed version should be submitted together with the proposal)

Important Notes:

*Please note that this tender is only open for the local suppliers/companies which are legally registered in Poland. Applications of companies which do not have legal presence in Poland will be disqualified.

*All prices must be quoted in USD or Euro excluding TAXES and VAT (Value Added Tax).

*The price quotations should have at most 2 digits after decimal point.

*Partial offers will be accepted.

*All bidders are requested to provide the following documents necessary for vendor evaluation annexed to their proposals. The submission of those documents is essential to assess the validity of the offer and lack of submission will result with invalidation of the offers. Those documents include:

1. A complete copy of your latest audited financial statements with comparative figures for the last 2 years, preferably signed by your company’s accounting firm/ certified external auditor. The financial statements are to include the balance sheet and income statement / profit and loss statement (mandatory).
2. A copy of your company’s certificate of legal registration (mandatory).
3. A copy of your Official list of authorized signatures (mandatory).
4. The company’s UN Global Marketplace (UNGM) registration number. The bidders are requested to register for, at the very latest, Basic and Level 1 stages. For registration and instructions on how to, bidders are advised to refer to the UNGM website (mandatory): http://www.ungm.org/RegistrationProcess

All requests for formal clarification or queries on this ITB must be submitted in writing to Supply Unit via email (till 19 May 2022, 03:00p.m. CET at the latest) to:  ecaroprocurement_tco@unicef.org

Please make sure that the e-mail mentions the ITB reference number. Only written inquiries will be entertained. Please be informed that if the question is of common interest, the answer will be shared with all potential ITB bidders.
