The United Nations Offices at Nairobi (UNON) issues this Request for Expression (EOI) for Provision of ICT User Support (Service Desk) & Computer Maintenance Services for UNON.
The Information Communication and Technology Section (ICTS) at UNON is responsible for providing, supporting and continually upgrading ICT facilities at United Nations Office at Gigiri, including Provision of ICT User Support & Computer maintenance services for Staff members of UNON, United Nations Centre for Human Settlements (UN HABITAT), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and other UN agencies based at the UNON Gigiri compound.
The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) invites suitably qualified firms to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming competitive bidding exercise for provision of professional ICT hardware and Software maintenance support including cloud-based computing services.
Maintenance services will be on skill/labor-only basis, whereby the Contractor will provide the specified number of qualified staff to work on-site for the support and maintenance of hardware and Software. UNON has adopted a hybrid service desk operation whereby the service provider will be required to assist UN staff both Onsite and Offsite.
The services include provision of software and hardware maintenance support for the following equipment, connected to the Local Area Network (LAN) located and distributed throughout the UN Complex at Gigiri and other locations in the vicinity. The estimated equipment figures (Year 2023, estimated) are as per the table below:
Equipment Type – PCs: 200
Equipment Type – Printers: 12
Equipment Type – Routers & Switches: 100
Equipment Type – Laptops: 2500
Please note that this REOI is not an invitation for submission of tenders. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested and eligible to participate in the solicitation when issued.
UNON reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this Request for EOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. Vendors that are deemed qualified upon completion of an objective evaluation of their EOI submission will receive the final tender solicitation documents.
