Item Description:
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).
Invitation for Bids (IFB)
The Republic of Mozambique has received financing from the African Development Fund hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the UniLúrio – Support Skills Development for Agriculture and Industry Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Supply of Equipment for the Machinery Park in Unango. For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing.
The UniLúrio – Universidade Lúrio now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply of Equipment for the Machinery Park in Unango, that is being procured in a single lot:

The Equipment shall be supplied within 120 days after effectiveness of the contract
Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (International), OCBI procedures as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations” August 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org. and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.

The bidding document in English may be obtained free of charges by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written request to the address email bellow. The bidding document will be sent by e-mail in pdf.
Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 27 September, 2022, at 10H00. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below.
All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security Declaration, using the format attached to the Bidding Document.
