Supply and Delivery of Fertilizers and Pesticides

The Republic of Uganda has received financing from the African Development Bank hereinafter called the Bank towards the cost of the Agricultural Value Chain Development Programme (AVCP) – Project 1, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for;

• Lot 1 – Fertilizers for Maize,
• Lot 2 – Fertilizers for Rice,
• Lot 3 – Fertilizers for Pasture and
• Lot 4 – Pesticides for Maize and Rice

For each of these contracts, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing.

Bidders may Bid for one or more lots, as applicable and, as further defined in the bidding document. Bidders wishing to offer discounts in case they are awarded more than one lots as applicable will be allowed to do so, provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for; Lot 1 – Fertilizers for Maize; Lot 2 – Fertilizers for Rice, Lot 3 – Fertilizers for Pasture and Lot 4 – Pesticides for Maize and Rice A margin of preference is not applicable

Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (International), (OCBI) method as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Framework for Bank Group Funded Operations”, dated October 2015, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
