Item Description:
The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) or Banque Africaine de Développement (BAD) is a multilateral development finance institution. The AfDB was founded in 1964 and comprises three entities: The African Development Bank, the African Development Fund and the Nigeria Trust Fund. The AfDB’s mission is to fight poverty and improve living conditions on the continent through promoting the investment of public and private capital in projects and programs that are likely to contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The AfDB is a financial provider to African governments and private companies investing in the regional member countries (RMC).
Invitation for Bids
The Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Water Resources (MoWR) and Ministry of Finance (MoF) has received financing from the African Development Fund (ADF) hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Freetown Water & Aquatic Environment Revamping Project (WASHAERP). It is intended to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Design and Repair of Kongo Dam, Kongo Weir, Tacuyama Weir, Sugar Loaf Weir, and associated raw water transmission pipelines in Freetown, Republic of Sierra Leone.
“For this contract, the Borrower shall process the payments using the Direct Payment disbursement method, as defined in the Bank’s Disbursement Guidelines and procedures for Investment Project Financing, except for those payments, which the contract provides to be made through letter of credit.”
The Guma Valley Water Company in Freetown, republic of Sierra Leone now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Design and Repair of Kongo Dam, Kongo Weir, Tacuyama Weir, Sugar Loaf Weir, and associated raw water transmission pipelines Freetown, Sierra Leone.
Bidding will be conducted through the Open Competitive Bidding (International), OCBI procedures as specified in the Bank’s Procurement Framework Standard Bidding Document for procurement of small works December 2021 version, and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Framework.
