Item Description:
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.
ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.
Invitation for Bids
The Lao People’s Democratic Republic has received financing from the Asian Development Bank toward the cost of the Vientiane Sustainable Urban Transport Project (VSUTP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.
The Department of Transport (DOT) of the Ministry of Public Work and Transport, (MPWT) Lao PDR (the “Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply and Installation of Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) System for the Vientiane BRT (the “Goods”). Details and specifications are provided in the specified in Section 6 (Schedule of Supply) of the Bidding Documents. Completion period is within two (2) years from the date of approval of the system by the Employer. The Bid is for ONE complete Lot and for the related services..
International Competitive Bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single- Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
