Provision of Maintenance and Managed Services: LAN Infrastructure

The World Health Organization was established in 1948 as a specialized agency of the United Nations. The objective of WHO (www.who.int) is the attainment by all peoples of the highest possible level of health. “Health”, as defined in the WHO Constitution, is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. WHO’s main function is to act as the directing and coordinating authority on international health work.

Objective of the RFP

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to enter into a contractual agreement with a successful bidder to carry out the following work: provide Maintenance and Managed services of LAN infrastructure services, in particular to:

Provide maintenance, and managed services for the existing LAN infrastructure for the WHO Geneva campus.

In addition, provide Cisco Smartnet maintenance and software patch management for Berlin and Budapest LAN infrastructure.

Provide the conditions for a framework agreement for the supply of Cisco systems LAN/WLAN infrastructure and related Professional services as needed during the lifetime of the maintenance service.

WHO intends to award a contract for an initial period of 48 months, with the possibility of extension for one additional period of 24 months for a total of 72 months (4 + 2 years). Such contract shall be awarded to a main vendor with a possibility of award to a back-up vendor (second best award).
