Invitation to Tender

The East African Community (EAC) has received a grant from the AfDB to support the EAC Capacity Building initiative, which includes providing technical assistance to the Directorate of Internal Audit. This assistance aims to help the EAC Secretariat fulfill its mandate as defined in the Treaty and specifically to improve the operations of the EAC Internal Audit and Risk functions.

This initiative aligns with the guidelines, rules, regulations, manuals, and policy documents of the EAC outlined in the: 1) East African Community Financial Rules and Regulations (2012); 2) Internal Audit Manual (2011) and 3) Internal Audit Charter (2015). These guidelines, manuals and policy documents emphasizes and provides for the enhancement of the capacity and tooling of the EAC Internal Audit and Risk Management functions, enabling these functions to fulfil their mandates more efficiently and effectively.

The EAC now invites bids from eligible Bidders for the Supply of Hardware and Software for Internal Audit and Risk Management system.

The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the African Development Bank Standard Bidding Document: Procurement of Goods. Bidding will be conducted through the Open International Competitive Bidding (OCB/I) and is open to all eligible bidders using the Standard Bidding Document.
