Item Description:

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Government of the Federated States of Micronesia has received financing from the ADB toward the cost of the FSM Renewable Energy Development Project (FSM-REDP). Part of this financing will be used for payments under the Contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

The Department of Resources and Development (DoRD) (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the design, supply, construction and completion of:

• an 800 kW / 2-hour BESS at the Yap State Public Service Corporation power station, and
• at least 1.950 MWp (DC) of ground mounted solar PV connected to the Yap main grid near to the power station (to the boundary of the works), (“the Works”).

Open Competitive Bidding (international advertisement) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
