Provision of one session of an “off-the-shelf” 5 day “Practical Management of Waste and Resources training course” for UN staff to be held at the UNLB in Brindisi, Italy potentially in March 2017, in accordance with the following or similar standards: • Waste Management Industry Training & Advisory Board (WAMITAB); • Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Training; • Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM); • Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA); • The International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA). The course shall be structured in 4 (four) modules: 1) Introduction to the management of waste and resources, 2) Practical waste management, 3) Special and Hazardous Waste (management, classification and coding) and 4) Waste compliance (essentials waste legislation and regulations). The course must also integrate theory with practice and combine instructor-led, hands-on exercises and practical activities, and include a certification test at the end issued by one of the following worldwide recognized institutes or professional bodies, such as , but not limited to one of the bodies mentioned above. The Companies’ “Recommended Trainers” shall hold internationally accredited professional qualifications issued by one or more of the professional bodies listed above or by any similar professional bodies, have a professional training experience in English of at least three (3) years; have delivered at least three (3) similar training courses in English in the last three years in the listed topics and related fields; be fully fluent in the English language, considering the international audience of the UN trainees and be available to communicate in the English language with the UNLB/UNGSC Logistics Service Training staff and with other UN staff.
