Provision of Food Rations and Related Services to the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the DR Congo (MONUSCO)

Item Description:

The United Nations is seeking Expression of Interest from food supply and/or logistics companies fully qualified to provide food rations and related services to the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the DR Congo (MONUSCO). The fulfillment of the food services contract will include but is not limited to: i. Food Items: Procurement, storage, management and distribution of food items to the delivery points within MONUSCO. Food items shall consist of frozen, chilled, dry, fresh and canned products or any combination thereof. ii. Bottled Water: Procurement, storage, management and distribution of bottled water to the delivery points (if required by the UN). iii. Reserves: Maintenance at all times of the required reserves including dry, canned, frozen food items and bottled water (if required by the UN) at the Contractor’s warehouse(s) in the Mission area. iv. Warehouse: Provision, management and operation of warehouse facilities in various locations (if required by the UN). v. Containers: Provision of containers which must be 20′ and must meet ISO standards (if required by the UN). The successful vendor will be required to provide all of the services listed above, if requested by the UN. Additional services may be required in the solicitation documents. In particular, the successful vendor will be expected to procure, store, manage and distribute all food items required by the UN (approximately 450 different food items), a list of which is available in the UN Food Rations Standards at https://www.un.org/Depts/ptd/about-us/conditions-contract (zip file – August 2016 revision).
