Upgrading of Tabora – Koga – Mpanda Road to Bitumen Standard, Lot 2: Komanga – Kasinde Section (108 km) & Inyonga Town Section, 4.18 km

Item Description:

This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online dated 3rd February, 2016 and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website.

The Government of Tanzania (GoT) has received financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of the Transport Sector Support Program (TSSP). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this financing will be applied to eligible payments under the Contract for Lot 2: Komanga – Kasinde Section (108 km) & Inyonga Town Section, 4.18 km of the Upgrading of the Tabora – Koga – Mpanda (363 Km) and Mbinga – Mbamba Bay (67 Km) Roads to Bitumen Standard, Tender No. AE/001/2015-16/HQ/W/52.

This Invitations for Bids was published on UNDB Online dated 12 October 2016 with a Ref No: AfDB1058-10/16; The African Development Bank website dated 12 October 2016; The Daily News of 13th October 2016 and The East African, 15th – 21st October 2016 with the original deadline for bid submissions on 15th December 2016, but the Bidding process was temporarily suspended to allow completion of Design Review of the Road Project. We wish to inform all Prospective Bidders that the Design Review has been completed and necessary amendments effected to the Bidding Documents, through appropriate Addenda.

Following finalization of the Design Review and Addenda, it is planned to resume the procurement process without further delays. All the documents to enable the Prospective Bidders who purchased the Bidding Documents will be sent to them soon, through their respective e-mail Addresses. In addition, the information will be uploaded to the TANROADS Website: http://www.tanroads.go.tz.

Other information and requirements related to the bidding procedures, bid security and criteria for purchasing the bidding documents remain unchanged.

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend on the revised deadline for Bid Submission at 10:00 hrs local time on 6th September 2017 at the TANROADS conference room, 4th Floor, TANROADS Headquarters, Airtel House, Ali Hassan Mwinyi/Kawawa Roads Junction, Dar es Salaam.
