Field Water and Wastewater Pumps in support of the United Nations Peacekeeping Missions

The United Nations Procurement Division (UNPD) is seeking Expressions of Interest from reputable manufacturers, authorized dealers and distributors to supply a wide range of pumps to meet the missions’ operational requirements such as, abstraction, transfer, distribution and treatment of potable water as well as the processing of wastewater. The United Nations requires a wide variety of pumps to fulfill these purposes.

Raw water sources include shallow wells, deep boreholes, rivers, streams and lakes, as well as brackish and salty water sources like swamps and salty groundwater. Wastewater includes domestic sewage and sullage from UN civilian and military camps.

Wherever applicable and viable, these pumps shall have an option to be powered by solar energy in addition to or as an alternative to the UN mission’s existing electrical sources.

Vendors must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the manufacture of pumps and provision of relevant services. Where a vendor is not the manufacturer, the actual manufacturer’s years of experience must meet this criteria.

The initial contract period shall be for three (3) years with an after-sales support period of five years beyond contract expiration. The initial three-year contract period may be extended twice for a further one- year period upon satisfactory performance by the bidder, should the UN so decide.

The detailed scope of requirements, including the technical specifications, quantities and expected delivery dates will be provided within the UN’s Request for Proposal (RFP), which will be sent out to all vendors responding to this expression of interest (EOI). No further detail can be made available prior to the issuance of the RFP solicitation.
