Provision of Ground Handling Services at Dominican Republic Airports for the United Nations

The United Nations (referred to as the “UN”) intends to enter into a contractual agreement for the provision of ground handling services at Dominican Republic Airports for the United Nations Mission for Justice Support in Haiti (MINUJUSTH) in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, a subsidiary Organ of the UN.

The Contractor shall provide Ground Handling Services (GHS) on an “as and when required” basis, to satisfy aviation operational requirements of MINUJUSTH at the Dominican Republic Airports. These services will be provided at a fixed price per airport, per requirement and service provided in accordance with the contractual requirement.

The airfield support services include but are not limited to handling of passengers, UN mail, VIP passengers (individuals or delegations), aircraft ramp services, rental of hangar facilities for aircraft maintenance (on as and when required) .These services shall be in accordance inter alia with the terms and conditions set forth in the Contract, applicable Dominican Republic Civil Aviation Authority, ICAO and IATA Aviation regulations, Standards and recommended Practice pertaining to Airport operations and Ground Handling Services, UN DPKO Aviation Manual, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Directives and Administrative Instructions issued by the UN .The Contractor shall provide the required services at the airports in Dominican Republic on a daily/weekly basis as reflected on MINUJUSTH’s Daily Flight Schedule (DFS) – Military or Civilian, Special Flight Schedule (SFS) and/or as directed by MINUJUSTH on an ad hoc basis.
