Supply of Apple Technology Products and Services

Item Description:

Assisting 80 million people in around 80 countries each year, the World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization fighting hunger worldwide, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience.

WFP uses a wide range of Apple products (Macs, iPads, iPhones and relative accessories) and it foresees to continue to.

Therefore, WFP is soliciting expressions of interest from qualified suppliers involved in the distribution of Apple technology products and related support services.

In particular:

Hardware Provisioning

WFP will provide the bidders with a list of Apple products, including accessories, on which it requires both the Apple official catalogue pricing and and  a pricing discount percentage to be applied to. At regular intervals or upon request, bidders have to provide accesses to the above official catalogue.

Moreover, since WFP is a very dynamic UN agency, it may ask  the bidder to address several requests in a short period of time with tight deadlines.

Service Provisioning

WFP requires high level support which may entail proximity to WFP Headquarter in Rome.

In addition to the standard AppleCare coverage and the compliance with the Apple’s SLA (http://www.apple.com/legal/terms/repair/), WFP is also looking for premium quality maintenance services on the hardware procured.

For the above reasons, On-Site Intervention and Trade in are services which will be taken into consideration.

Response

In order to participate in the pre-selection exercise, companies are required to provide the following:

• Confirmation of interest in being considered for the delivery of the above items;
• Company description and brief summary of experience in the required business (max 2 pages);
• No financial proposal is required at this stage.

Upon receipt of a positive response, WFP may proceed with the next steps to engage a vendor and request evidence of company relationship with the manufactory and/or service providers.
