Provision of Online Video Editing Services

Item Description:

Assisting 80 million people in around 80 countries each year, the World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization fighting hunger worldwide, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience.

The WFP Social Media Team at HQ needs a cloud-based video editing and production service to connect global content creators and increase social media video output. Today, the main HQ Global accounts reach 1.1 million followers on Facebook, 1.6 million followers on Twitter, 204k followers on Instagram and 268k followers on LinkedIn. In addition to the HQ Global Channels, WFP has 54 additional Twitter accounts, 21 Facebook pages and nearly 10 Instagram accounts.

Response

In order to participate in the pre-selection exercise, companies are required to provide the following:

• Have a previous, proven track record in the delivery of Online Video Editing services. Include examples of the work done with other Organizations/Companies (max 1 page);
• Company description and summary of experience in the required business (max 2 pages);
• Capacity to provide a cloud-based tool
  • to translate and localize videos in order to reflect each social channel’s language and sometimes, imagery;
  • with a light-weight preview that allows for rendering only upon production. This would allow WFP users to access in places with limited bandwidth;
• No financial proposal is required at this stage.

Upon receipt of a positive response, WFP may proceed with the next steps to engage a vendor.
