Upgrade of the UN Environment Ozone Secretariat Website

The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) invites qualified Contractors to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming tender exercise for Upgrade of the UN Environment Ozone Secretariat Website.

The Secretariat is upgrading its website, http://ozone.unep.org/, to strengthen its digital presence and better fulfill its mission of facilitating and supporting the parties to the Vienna Convention and the Montreal Protocol and other stakeholders in implementing actions to protect and heal the ozone layer and contribute to climate change mitigation.

UNON on behalf of UN Environment intends to contract a qualified firm to upgrade the Ozone Secretariat website, to improve functionality, look and feel, structural design, web access, navigation, uptime, performance, and enhance the overall user experience for its various stakeholders and audiences. The website is based on the Drupal content management system and has some PHP– and Javascript–based applications (e.g., https://ozone.unep.org/countries/data). The Secretariat is seeking to redevelop and upgrade the site from Drupal 7 to Drupal 8. The project shall be implemented during a one-year period.
