Construction of 2 nos of Offshore Reefs and Sand Nourishment for Shoreline Protection and Management – Someshwara Reef

The Asian Development Bank was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

India has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Sustainable Coastal Protection and Management Investment Program –Tranche 2. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the contract named above. Bidding is open to Bidders from eligible source countries of ADB.

The Project Director, Project Management Unit, Ports and Inland Water Transport Department, Karnataka invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for “Someshwara Reef – Construction of 2 nos of Offshore Reefs and Sand Nourishment for Shoreline Protection and Management” (the Works) at Dakshina Kannada District, Karnataka, India. Construction period is 15 months.

National Competitive Bidding (NCB) will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: Two-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all bidders from eligible countries as described in the Bidding Document.
