Item Description:
This Invitation for Tenders follows the General Procurement Notice for NM-AIST for the 2017/2018 Financial Year that appears in the Tanzanian Procurement Journal Issue No.28 of 10th July, 2018.
The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology has received a grant from the African Development Bank towards the cost of supply, installation, training and commissioning of laboratory equipment (equipment for Telecom, Electronics & TEMS) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to cover eligible payments under the contract for supply, installation, training and commissioning of laboratory equipment.
The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology now invites sealed tenders from eligible suppliers of laboratory equipment for Telecom, Electronics and TEMS.
Tendering will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013 – Government Notice No. 446 and the Public Procurement (Amendment) Regulations, 2016 – Government Notice No. 333 and is open to all Tenderers as defined in the Regulations. Interested eligible Tenderers may obtain further information from and inspect the Tendering Documents at the office of the Secretary, NM-AIST Tender Board, Wing A, Ground Floor, Room No. E110, Old Moshi/Nelson Mandela Road, P.O.Box 447, Arusha, Tanzania from 08:00amto 03:30pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public holidays.
A complete set of Tendering Document(s) in English language and additional sets may be purchased by interested Tenderers on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 6 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tshs. 50,000/= or USD 25. Tenders will be opened promptly thereafter in public and in the presence of Tenderers’ representatives who choose to attend in the opening at the NM-AIST Conference Hall.
Late Tenders, Portion of Tenders, Electronic Tenders, Tenders not received, Tenders not opened and not read out in public at the tender opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
