Installation of Solar / Green Roof Project on the Conference Building Roof at UNHQ/New York

Whereas the main complex (UN Secretariat) is located on international territory in New York are located on New York City territory, regardless of the location of the buildings, all construction activities shall be conducted in strict compliance with NYC local building codes and any other applicable federal, state and city laws. Filing process will follow the UN’s agreed procedures with the NYC Department of Buildings (DoB) and NYC Fire Department (NYFD). This may include solely submission of drawings for review and comments, if at all necessary. UN will advise contractor on its procedure

Objectives of the Solar/Greening Project at the UN

The project is being made possible by a donation supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). The project will provide the UN with potential utility savings via the solar panels grid network, incorporating the greening aspect showcasing the UN’s commitment to global sustainability.

Responding to this Request

Interested firms must complete the following Vendor Response Form and return it to the attention of the officer named below no later than 26 February 2019.

Vendor Response Forms must be completed in full. The UN reserves the right to reject Expressions of Interest documents that are incomplete, or are received after the stated deadline.
