Hire and maintenance of water fountains

Item Description:

The European Commission (EC) is an institution of the European Union, responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, upholding the EU treaties and managing the day-to-day business of the EU.

The EC has a requirement for the hire and maintenance of water fountains:

Lot 1: Hire and maintenance of independent, cold and temperate drinking water fountains; Estimated volume: 450 fountains.

Lot 2: Hire and maintenance of secure fountains connected to the mains water network, guaranteeing quality water at all times; Estimated volume: 250 fountains.

For lot 1: for the purposes of the qualitative assessment, a sample of the fountain will be placed on display within 10 working days of the final date for submission of the tender and a technician will be seconded within 15 working days of such availability, as detailed in point 4 of the Administrative Clauses (annex II);

Executive agencies may be included in the contract as contracting authorities (within a limit of 10 % of the total contract value and for all the executive agencies taken together) if, at the time of publication of this invitation to tender, they were not yet officially set up or in the process of being set up and, consequently, no formal designation could be specified in the invitation to tender documents.
