Supply Chain strategic design, distribution model and LMIS improvement assessment and transformation (Sudan)

The Global Fund aims to give support to establish sustainable and resilient supply chains in collaboration with Federal Ministry of Health and with principal recipients in many countries as well as in Sudan.

In accordance with this aim, this ToR has been published to provide targeted Supply Chain transformation plan following assessment with focus on 3 areas; network design, last mile delivery and LMIS. These areas are key to evolve the systems in place to achieve better monitoring and managing of SC and ultimately improved product availability and patient experience.

Background information on the Global Fund

The Global Fund is a 21st-century partnership organization designed to accelerate the end of AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria as epidemics.

Founded in 2002, the Global Fund is a partnership between governments, civil society, the private sector and people affected by the diseases. The purpose of the Global Fund is to attract, manage and disburse additional resources to fight AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria. The Global Fund raises and invests nearly US$4 billion a year to support programs run by local experts in countries and communities most in need.

The Global Fund’s core principles are partnership, country ownership, performance-based funding and transparency.
