Turn-key project for the construction of Security Offices at UNICTF, Valencia, Spain

The United Nations Global Service Centre (UNGSC) seeks an appropriately qualified contractor for a turn- key project to perform construction works to expand the Pedestrian Building and build four (4) offices to be used by the Security Section at the UNICTF premises, located in the Municipality of Quart de Poblet in Valencia, Spain, next to Valencia’s Airport.

The current Pedestrian Building has around 112 sqm and it is realized in concrete structure and glass. The new building of 96 sqm should be executed by the same materials and shall have the same visual design.

The Contractor shall complete the entire work within one hundred-forty (140) working days. In summary, the requirement shall also include the following:

Contractor’s Safety Plan (PSS)

Prior to the commencement of work, the Contractor will provide the Safety Plan and necessary documentation for the construction and related works (Plan de Seguridad y Salud).

The Contractor will follow all applicable legislation i.e. Ley 31/95, RD 1215/1997, R.D. 1627/1997; R.D. 773/1997 and other.

Limitations will apply when subcontracting companies, according to Spanish law i.e. Ley 32/2006 and R.D.1109/2007.

The design shall include the drawings and the technical reports.

Study and Executive Design

Executive Design shall be based on the Conceptual Design, Drawings and Specifications that will be provided in the tender package. The executive design must be certified by an accredited engineer/architect with credentials that is applicable and recognized in Spain.
