Provision of R&D services for cloud-based data archiving and digital preservation services in the framework of the ARCHIVER Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) project (www.archiver-project.eu)

Item Description:

CERN, on behalf of the ARCHIVER Buyers Group, intends to place several contracts for R&D services for cloud-based data archiving and digital preservation services. The R&D will proceed in three competitive phases covering solution design, prototyping, and pilot deployments, including the objective of developing archiving and preservation services ready to be purchased with the resources in data centres operated by the Buyers Group.

Interested firms shall have competence and experience in the areas of data archiving and preservation and cloud computing. Selected firms must undertake the majority of the R&D activities for the PCP contract in the EU Member States or Horizon 2020 Associated Countries.
