eeZeeBAR™
eeZeeBAR™ is a wheat-based Ready-to-Use Supplementary Food (RUSF) for the treatment of Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) in children older than 6 months of age. eeZeeBAR™ can be eaten as it is or as a porridge.
Nutritional properties
Each unit of eeZeeBAR™ (500 g net) contains 9 bars.
The intended daily serve is 2 bars/ child/ day in addition to continued breastfeeding and local food.
This serve provides the equivalent energy, protein and micronutrients to one 92 g sachet of eeZeeRUSF™.
eeZeeBAR™ can be eaten as a biscuit directly from the packet and can also be made into a porridge by crumbling it into a bowl and adding boiled drinking water.
