Item Description:
CERN intends to place a contract for the supply of vacuum vessels (dimensions: 1 metre in diameter, length varying between 0.5 and 1.5 metres), related jumpers and end covers, in total ca. 75 components. The components shall be made of austenitic stainless steel: EN 1.4307, EN 1.4306 (equivalent to AISI 304L) or EN 1.4404, EN 1.4435 (equivalent to AISI 316L). The components shall be delivered in 2020 and 2021.
Interested firms shall be able to prove experience and competence in the manufacturing of vacuum vessels in austenitic stainless steel of comparable dimensions and complexity.
