    Item Description:

    This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in UNDB online, issue no. AfDB408-06/14 of 13th June, 2014 and on the African Development Bank Group’s Internet Website.

    The Government of Ghana has received a Loan and Grant facilities from the African Development Fund toward the cost of implementing the Electricity Distribution System Reinforcement and Extension Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for Supply and Installation of 33/11KV Primary Substation & Interconnecting Circuits at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) In Kumasi.

    The Electricity Company of Ghana now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the bid for the Supply and Installation of 33/11KV Primary Substation & Interconnecting Circuits at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) In Kumasi. The works comprise:

    • 33kV Supply to the Substation: loop one of the two circuits of the existing 2x60MVA Station ‘A’ to ‘B’ 33kV double circuit tower line; and
    • 11kV offloading Circuits: (i) Feeder 1 & Feeder 2 to the Accident & Emergency (A&E) substation and old KATH distribution substation (B44) respectively; (ii) Feeder 3 to Kejetia MTN Office; (iii) Feeder 4 to Gee Roundabout substation (B31); (iv) Feeder 5 to SG SSB Bank at Adum and also serve the new Kejetia Market.

    Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the African Development Banks PROCUREMENT POLICY FRAMEWORK FOR BANK GROUP FUNDED OPERATIONS – October 2015 and is opened to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines.
