Item Description:
CERN intends to place a contract for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of a caesium fountain primary frequency standard to provide an accurate frequency reference for spectroscopy comparisons of transitions in hydrogen and antihydrogen. The supply shall achieve an accuracy of 1 part in 10^15 or better with short term instability no worse than 3 parts in 10^13 at 1s integration time. The contract is intended to be placed in January 2019.
Interested firms or group of firms shall have proven experience in the design and manufacturing of caesium fountains.
