Construction of the Poti Bridge and Access Roads

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) was conceived in the early 1960s as a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in one of the poorest regions in the world.

ADB assists its members, and partners, by providing loans, technical assistance, grants, and equity investments to promote social and economic development.

The Government of Georgia has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) towards the cost of the Batumi Bypass Road Project. Part of this financing will be used for payments under the Contract named above. No nationality restrictions apply.

The Roads Department of Georgia under the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (“the Employer”) invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for the contract for the construction of the Poti Bridge and access roads.

This contract includes the construction of a 436 m long 2-lane 8 span composite steel and concrete bridge with driven pile foundations over the Rioni River and approximately 2 km of access roads partly through soft ground conditions. The contract period will be 730 calendar days.

International competitive bidding will be conducted in accordance with ADB’s Single-Stage: One-Envelope bidding procedure and is open to all Bidders without nationality restrictions.
